Tango (It Takes Two to Tango) is a stunningly beautiful well-built dun gelding probably with some Spanish mustang heritage. We picked him because of his appearance even though we could tell he was going to be a challenge. We first worked him the usual way, and we managed to get to halter him. It just didn't fell right. He did not enjoy the sessions and progress was not smooth. Then we completely changed to positive reinforcement. It took a little to get him to eat food out of a tub and then the hands but he took to this training style like a fish to water. His whole body has softened, he will even nicker at us when he sees as approaching with the training gear.

We picked him up at the BLM facility in Florence, AZ, where he was about ready to be shipped out as non-adoptable to early retirement (he has his 4 numbers shown prominently on his hip and is a three striker). He will likely revert to defense if pushed when he doesn't understand. But if you show him some love he will give it back to you! He could be an excellent endurance prospect. He is papered now. Homes that understand his gentle nature only, please!

Arizona was transferred to us for training because she did not make much progress at her first place. We immediately fell in love with that beautiful heart on her face! She is one smart lady that pays very close attention to you and likes to participate. She does have opinions but is very willing to follow along. She is making fast progress and shows great jumping and dressage potential under saddle. She has never offered to buck or fight.  We took her out on several trailrides even in a bigger group.
